Lower deviation of preliminary toothing

The lower and upper deviations define a tolerance range for the tooth thickness. A deviation of A_s = 0 mm indicates that the tooth thickness and the tooth gap width at the reference cylinder of the worm are the same size. Negative dimensions correspond to a reduction of the tooth thickness.
