Specification of actual measurement data

For local gear calculations, it is possible to adapt the nominal geometry to the actual geometry on based on 3D measurement data. To do so, the following steps are necessary:

• Import of the 3D measurement data,
• Detection and removal of outliers,
• Calculation of flank deviations from the modified measurement data.

When the specification of actual measurement data is activated, import and modification of the measurement data along with configuration of the calculation of fitting surfaces can be done using actual measured data.

The following basic methods then result for use of the measurement data:

• Indirect use by consideration of the determined flank deviations
• Direct use by consideration of flank deviations and additional use of the 3D actual measurement data for the generation of the fitting surfaces.
